Counselling
As a counsellor and psychotherapist, I have been trained to listen to you in a way that you possibly have never been listened to before. My job is to create a safe place where you won’t be judged in anyway. I work collaboratively, my style is active and engaged with the intention of creating a safe environment to empower understanding, growth, and healing. I guide my clients by helping them modify their lives according to their needs and lifestyle.
Together we explore and understand the underlying causes and concerns as well as access hidden abilities & resources. Our therapeutic relationship focuses on re-establishing emotional strength & well-being, addressing personal and familial relationship concerns, and most importantly regaining self-esteem & confidence.
I work with individuals who may be struggling with depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, grief, loss and family conflict.
At the root of it, counselling is about expressing yourself without the limits every day life can sometimes place on us – so often in life we can feel no one truly understands us and how we are feeling – a counsellor’s primary goal is to try and see through your eyes, and get an understanding of what it is like to walk in your shoes.
Remember, it’s never too late to change – it is possible for you to learn to be more at peace with yourself and others in your life, and I would feel privileged to support you on your journey.
When we go through tough times we can often feel isolated, keeping everything inside our own heads. Counselling provides the opportunity to let those thoughts and feelings out and to examine them in a safe, non-judgemental space – there will be nobody telling you to pull yourself together, grow up or get over it; everything you are feeling will be valued for what it is – a part of who you are that needs care and attention to help you work through it.
So often we try to bury what we are going through because we feel guilty, angry or ashamed of how we feel. Ask yourself, what would it feel like to be able to be free from those feelings, to be truly heard and feel listened to – to be able to feel safe enough to share your deepest thoughts? As your counsellor, my only job will be to support you no matter what problems you are facing.
